About

3 Inch Vinyl covers news about and reviews of 3″ / 8ban vinyl records, turntables, and related ephemera.

An RSD2 turntable with a 3" and 7" record for comparison.

The original 8ban format was produced by Toyokasei and sold by Bandai in Japan 2004. It was imported to the US by The White Stripes’ Jack White as the Triple Inchophone the following year. Crosley and Record Store Day revived the format for RSD 2019 with the launch of the RSD3 mini turntable.

While we try to be as comprehensive as possible, if you have any tips, information, or uncovered a cache of 8ban records in mint condition, let us know at info@3inchvinyl.com.
